| Job burnout refers to a kind of state that people of human-centered professions, under constant working pressure and tension, cannot effectively release pressure or handle the problems at work, which leads to emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and diminished personal accomplishment. Teaching secretarial work of higher education is a typical help-based job with feature of assistance, subservience and service. Every day teaching secretary have to deal with teachers and students from nationwide with different life experience, individuality and mood, which causes the difficulty of interpersonal interaction and increases the work load and pressure, along with facing the reality of low career reputation and unfair pay. Therefore, in the long run, job burnout occurs.Setting TC University as an example, focusing on the current situation of job burnout, this article systematically analyses the causes of burnout in teaching secretarial work of higher education from perspective of job feature, organization and individual factors.Job burnout in teaching secretary of higher education is work-related injury. On one hand, if existing for a long term, it will severely affect one's physical and mental health. On the other, because teaching secretary is the first-line subject and hard core of teaching management work, job burnout will hinder the improvement of teaching quality. Therefore, job burnout of teaching secretary needs to be resolved immediately. Due to its complicated causes, long-lasting, dynamic and multidimensional factors, solving job burnout is a systematic program. To teaching secretaries themselves, they need to cultivate professionalized quality, build reasonable career expectation, improve mentality and charm, satisfy themselves and form personal habits. To organizers of higher education, they must recognize the working value of teaching secretaries, establish human-based management system, provide sufficient support and implement career management for teaching secretaries. |
