The nature of psychological well-being is a value of individuals and the realization, it is a value system based on the psychologist, based on objective criteria to evaluate the personal well-being. In this study, based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs theory, social exchange theory and theory of physical and mental interaction, in order to study the regulation of physical exercise on of overall self-esteem'impact in the psychological well-being of older persons.Study is based on the division of the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for the elderly age and the Chinese Medical Association Geriatrics Society's recommendations in 1982, based on the actual situation of our country, as well as the elderly'possibility to participate in physical exercise, selecting 60-80 years of age for the study of the elderly, the scope of the questionnaire issued in Heping District, Nankai District, Hongqiao District, Hexi District, Hedong District, Hebei District in Tianjin, District 6, the final valid questionnaires are 580.Scale measurement methods used, the basic situation of physical exercise in order to survey the general situation of the elderly, such as gender, age, marital status, whether to participate in physical exercise, which physical activity participate in, to participate in the form of physical exercise, etc.;used Yuanjiang Miller "Comprehensive well-being questionnaire" as a measurement tool, the study measured the psychological well-being; to Rosenberg "Overall Self-Esteem Scale" for measuring tools, measurement of overall self-esteem level of the target. Study compared the use of the mean, variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, to study the overall self-esteem, physical activity of urban elderly population of the impact of psychological well-being effect.The results of the study and conclusions are as follows:1,the elderly, the correlation between overall self-esteem and psychological well-being is complex. Psychological Well-being in the high group, the observed low overall self-esteem, to participate in physical exercise, as well as the overall low self-esteem, not to participate in physical training of the individual, further indicate the level of the elderly psychological well-being of different factors.2,Overall self-esteem of older persons in the sense of the impact of psychological well-being, the exercise frequency, activity, marital status and family structure on psychological well-being of older people can forecast significantly, it is indeed played a role in the regulation of intermediary variables.
