On Farmer's Education From The Perspective Of New Socialist Countryside

The Fifth Plenum of the sixteenth CPC Central Committee puts forward an important strategy-building a new socialist countryside, and the strategy is an important component of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects and achieving modernization. According to requirement of"production development, well-off life, civilized rural wind, the village of clean capacity, the management of democracy", the key to constructing socialist new countryside is to improve farmers'quality, to develop new farmers who have knowledge, understand technology and are skilled at business. The basic way to construct new socialist countryside is to strengthen farmers'education through a variety of channels and methods. At present, the situation of China's farmer education is worrying, and the representations are: farmers'acquirement of knowledge is low; the technical ability and management ability is weak, and farmers'legal consciousness and moral cultivation is relatively low. This kind of situation directly affects agricultural development and the increasing of farmers'income, and restricts urbanization. The final result of the situation is bad for the socialist modernization. There are both subjective and objective reasons concerning the problems of farmer education. The countermeasures are to fully absorb experiences of developing areas in China and foreign countries, to improve knowledge, to increase input, to perfect the law system so as to establish and perfect the farmer education system and make farmers become firm socialism worker.
