A Study On Cultivation Mode Of Competitive Sports Talents In Xinjiang Production And Construction Corps

Cultivation of competitive sports talents is one of the most important contents of the competitive sports system. Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (hereinafter to be referred as XJPCC), as one of the members which take part in National Athletic Meet, as well as other provinces must win honor for China in Olympic Games. And it also faces the problem of cultivation of competitive sports talents. Up to now, there is no advanced professional training team in XJPCC, which is a crucial flaw existing in its talents cultivation system. In the new era, building the cultivation system of competitive sports talents is increasingly important. And it is also a section of development of XJPCC.The research measures, such as documentary and questionnaire as well as interview are taken to look into the cultivation mode of competitive sports talents. The conclusion is drawn as follows: 1. in the aspect of organization and management, Sports Bureau of XJPCC, as well as its subordinate institutions, share a group of staff with Education Bureau. 2. The cultivation system of competitive sports talents is: traditional sports items in primary school and middle school - amateur sports school - XJPCC Competitive sports school–PE department of Shihezi University. In a word, there is no advanced sports'training system in XJPCC. 3. Primary and middle-level training process lack characters of continuity and systematization; and lacking of high-standard coaches is another harmful defect in competitive sports talents'cultivation. 4. Sports competition in XJPCC is irregular, which makes known irrationality of competitive system. 5. Guarantee system of XJPCC competitive sports should be improved. Issues such as training funds, space and equipment, management and reward to athletes and coaches, as well as athletes'prospects all affect development of competitive sports in XJPCC. The author makes suggestions and countermeasures concerning the factors mentioned above: 1. Awaken awareness of the leadership, complete managing organization of competitive sports. 2. Build advanced training system to improve the three-level training net, thus form the talents cultivation mode of XJPCC. 3. Make competitive sports training a scientific one. 4. Strengthen the construction of teaching staff and improve coaches'qualities. 5. Pay more attention to sports competition, and make it systematic and varied. 6. Set up an effective and encouraging mechanism to manage and reward athletes and coaches. 7. Broaden the channel of funds to well serve competitive sports.
