The Research On Yu Jia-ju's Nationalist Education

Yu Jia-ju was a influential, characteristic educationist in the Republic of China(1912?949). Nationalist educational thesis was his main thoughts. To propagate the thought and set up its theory, he had written a lot of educational works. We can say, he was the representative of Nationalist educational thesis in China.. As though, with all kinds of reason, his thought had not been realized completely. This graduation thesis tries not only to make a relatively objective evaluation, but also to let the academic circles pay attention to the study about Yu Jia-ju and others like him. The thesis includes 3 parts except preface and conclusion. Part A tries to analysis the production of Yu Jia-ju's Nationalist educational thesis from six aspects: social ground, educational situation, theorial origins, ideological basis and his experience of study and lives. Part B tries to sum up the contents including educational aim, educational administration, patriotic education, military education, teachers training and universal education. Part C summarize the features, analysis its influence from three aspects: the setting up of the Chinese nation, the founding of national education, the creating of national culture. Part D analysis and evaluate Yu Jia-ju's Nationalist educational thesis from three aspects: politics, pedagogy and culturology. Conclusion discusses why the study about Yu Jia-ju was limited and evaluates the present study situation about Yu Jia-ju and others like him. It's the real purpose of this thesis.
