Lifelong education and lifelong learning is the common trend of social progress and the self-development of education. In this respect, the international society has accumulated rich experience after forty years' exploration of theory and real practice. This article mainly adopts documents method,comparative method and inductive method. At first, it introduces the evolution process of lifelong education idea from the point of theoretical analysis, and summarizes the successful practice of lifelong education abroad. On this basis, it emphatically analysis's the basic principle,framework and condition of constructing our lifelong education system combining our concrete reality. At last, in view of the existing situation of practicing lifelong education, it puts forward some advice on the development of our lifelong education in the future.
