With the fast development of social economic and technology, as well as theincrease of knowledge, skill and the value of human capital, nowadays the educationis playing an important role, which results in the emergence of lifelong education.This thesis focuses the research object on the university for industry inUK, which is written with the studying principle of "literature based method" andbased on the firsthand information of Chinese and western texts. The author tries toanalyze the development of university for industry in UK roughly with the analyticalmethods of quantization. At first the author explores the development background ofuniversity for industry. The author also gives a brief introduction about thedevelopment of concept of lifelong education in UK. Then the author points out thereason of the development of university for industry and analyzes the structure andcharacteristics of university for industry. At last the author puts forward severalpieces of advice on building lifelong education system in our China. including:(1) the fundamental conception of lifelong education;(2) each region owns its rights on developing lifelong education;(3) lifelong education outlay derives from different aspects;(4) lifelong education legislation;(5) strengthen lifelong education by means of network;Above all, although some important achievements have been made in the recentyears, the task is still of great value and urgency. Finally, the author gives a fair andsquare evaluation on university for industry.
