The management of rear service is an important part of the management in higher institutions. The management model of rear service will directly influence the socialization reform of rear service in higher institutions. However, for a long time, people have had a wrong attitude towards the management model of rear service and have made mistakes in practice. Therefore, it has both theoretical and practical meanings of to study the management model. Its theoretical meanings consist in: first, it makes people know the elements of the management model of rear service and let people have a systematical idea about it. Second, it helps to make further discussion of management reformation. Nowadays, the rear service of university is under the condition of socialization, and we're trying to find a suitable theoretical model for the management in order to understand the thoughts of reformation. Its practical meanings consist in: first, it directs the managementpractices of university. Second, it provides policy direction. It can provide policy guidance for the high executives and government by researching the management model.In order to make clear the reformation thought of management model, this article gives a research on the concept of management model, elements of the model, interacting factors of the model and other related theories. On the basis of confined management model, it puts forward the model's elements which include the idea of the management of rear service, the structure of management, the system of management and the mechanism of management. It also points out the operation is not only affected by the internal elements, the way of contact and the way of operating, but also restricted by the political system, economic system, the system of university and other factors.Also, the article analyzes the history of development of rear service management in higher institutions, trying to find out the respective characteristics of planning economy and marketing economy, thus arrive that socialization of university rear service isrurgent demand of the socialism market-economy system and the high education revolution. Therefore, to establish the management pattern of rear service in higher institutions is of great importance for socialization of rear service in higher institutions. In order to achieve that, we have to follow economic rules of marketing economy, rules of enterprise administration, rules that rear service must serve the teaching and learning, and rules of high education development. Though it was provoked in china early in the 1980s to realize socialization of university rear service, various problems made it impossible, such as lack of theory support, lack of strong administration, unbalanced management structures, handicapped management system old ideas, and unqualified mechanism.Lastly, the article points out that solutions to the problems existing in management patterns of university rear service are to establish scientific ideas of rear service management, to adjust structure, to appropriate system, to establish scientific ideas is to renew sense of nature, sense of value, sense of quality and sense of profiteers; to adjust structure is to enforce sole administration ofone service agency; to appropriate system is to establish proper leader system, executive system, inquiry system and control-and-feed back system; to improve administration is to clarify mechanism of guidance, encouragement and restriction.
