So far, the socialization reform of rear service of the institution of higher education consists of two aspects: on the one hand, the rear service entity of the institution of higher education is separated from the institution in a standard way, and then forms individual enterprise. On the other hand, social enterprises are introduced into the rear service field of the institutions. The result of the reform is to break the mode in which the institution is fully in charge of rear service, and to establish an open marketized rear service system that is led by government, mostly taken on by social enterprises,and selected by the institutions. Therefore, the socialization of rear service in the institution of higher education is essentially the marketization of rear service in the institution of higher education(MRSIHE).The MRSIHE is an inevitable choice under the market economy, for it can alleviate the tensity complexion of rear service supply caused by the increasing recruitment of college students, lighten the burden of the institution of higher education, introduce competition mechanism, improve the efficiency of rear service, accelerate the system innovation of the institution of higher education. However, there are still some problems in the MRSIHE, such as the campus market being monopolized, the charge of rear service rising too fast, invigoration of college students being tampered, etc. Therefore, the thoughts of reform in the future are as follows: Firstly, government should play a leading role in the MRSIHE . Secondly, some measures should be taken to facilitate the equal competition between enterprises outside of the campus and entities of rear service of the institution of higher education. Thirdly, we should construct managing system and operating mechanism of rear service of the institution of higher education that is adapted to socialism market economy. Fourthly, supervision should be strengthened to insure the health development of the MRSIHE.On the basis of studying the universality of the MRSIHE, taking the marketization of rear service in Shantou University as a case,the author studies the particularity . By investigating the reform of rear service in Shantou University, the author analyses the reasons why the marketization of rear service in Shantou University started sluggishly, demonstrates the feasibility of the marketization of rear service of Shantou University, and puts forward some policy suggestions for further reformation.Peng zhiwu Directed by: Prof. Yuan zuwang...
