Striding across the starting line of new century and facing oncoming knowledge and economy epoch, which gives an emphasis on study and information, human beings have to be involved in the most variable and uncertain circumstance hitherto. Now, in order to be adapted to society development, persons of high-quality are needed, in modern life. As parents are regarded as the main factor to children's growth, their qualities which are high or low, affect immediately the fostering and educating of their children. Among these many-faceted qualities, the educational idea, which influences children's development and education, is director and salienter. However, many views which have influenced children's development seriously still exist in parental educational idea in the reality. Therefore, to improve parental quality, especially their educational idea, is of vital significance.Through observing the present development of family education and identifying its function, author analyses the construction of parental educational idea system and the relationships between this system and parents' behaviors and children's growth, and dissects various deviations and causes of parental educational idea. At last, author proposes the conception of scientific parental educational idea, whose crux is to improve parents' qualities, to guarantee the quality of family education and healty comprehensive development of children.
