At present, our country is in the historical epoch of social reform when the professional ethics of secondary school teachers has got unprecedented changes and thus give a rise to some ethical problems affecting the teachers' professional image. It's an important project for the fields in ideology and education to research into even lay emphasis on the professional ethics of secondary school teachers. The article will not only analyze main ethical phenomena and problems existing in the professional life of today's secondary school teachers but also put forward some valuable countermeasures. The article will fall into three parts:I. The definition, characteristics and epochal significance of secondary school teachers' professional ethics.The professional ethics should begin by safeguarding the interests of the nation, the teaching professional group and ethical order. Its characteristics are as following: closer relationship with the ethical development of educational objects, easier to bring striking effect in ethical education, more perfect system to supervise their ethical behaviors that is required to satisfy the "disciplinary" needs, more greatly influenced by the surrounding. To strengthen the professional ethical construction of secondary school teachers will be of great significance to the development of the national economy, the improvement of social ethical conduct as well as the stabilization of the society. In addition to these, it will help secondary school teachers to accept the views of modern education and embody the policy of competent education.II. The perspectives and analysis on the professional ethical phenomena of the secondary school teachers.There exist quite a few ethical problems and phenomena arising not only from teachers' professional attitudes but also from handling the relationship among teachers, between teachers and students, between teachers and students' parents. As for these problems andphenomena, I will give an analysis and account from the perspectives of ethics, sociology, education and psychology so as to keep abreast of teachers' professional attitudes. III. The reflection on the professional construction of secondary school teachers The above-mentioned parts concern the analysis of main professional ethical phenomena and problems existing in the teachers' professional activities. Thus, a valuable countermeasure in constructing their professional ethics is to be put forward: to accelerate the systematic construction of secondary school teachers' professional ethics in which the essential pattern of construction is to be raised; to inculcate the teachers with ethical ideas and consummate the sanction mechanism with a purpose to prevent the teachers from dereliction of ethics; to place emphasis on the diversity and acceptability of teachers' professional ethics in order to accomplish the goal that secondary school teachers will be self- disciplined in their professional ethics.
