English culture plays a very important role in English teaching, which is widely acknowledged by English teaching circle. Because only few papers discuss culture梑ased middle school English teaching, this thesis attempted to make some research hi this field.The main contents are as follows:Part one:briefly discuss the denotation and connotation of culture,and put forward the definition of culture hi this thesis.Part two:emphatically study the culture contents in middle school English teaching, such as lexicon, communicative context, syntax language context.Part three:elaborate the English teaching methodology with culture teaching at the core, such as word meaning digging method, traslation and comparison method.Part fourbriefly discuss the meaning of culture-related middle school English teaching and two problems in culture-related English teaching.Other scholars have made much research on culture-based English teaching. This thesis limits the research hi the domain of middle school students, makes a summary of culture contents and teaching methodology hi this spacial environment.Last but not least, this thesis lists the two problems needed to be emphasized in English teaching.Through research,this thesis enriched the culture contents and methodology in culture-based middle school English teaching, and expects that this thesis can bring some help to middle school English teaching.
