Due to the late beginning of research, physical education has been greatly influenced by foreign cultures, and therefore, there are some problems existing in Chinese physical education, which are not in harmony with the development of China. To revive Chinese education and culture, it is necessary to search for physical education theories with Chinese characteristics to further the development of Chinese school physical education, and the Chinese traditional culture could be the starting point. This paper tries to employ the cultural marrows of Confucian School such as harmony and humanity and use these marrows to perfect the theoretical system of Chinese school physical education characterized by national distinguishing features, in order to be help for life physical education and the construction of harmonious society. Based on this, the author tries to adopt the concepts of humanism and mean from the prospective of Confucianism with the method of literature researching, interviewing and logic analyzing. The paper intends to find out theoretical flaws of the current school physical education and put forward some suggestions in attempt to promote the construction of harmonious society and the development of life-long physical education. In the process of constructing school physical education system with Chinese characteristics, conclusions are made as follows:(1) School physical teaching system with Chinese characteristics is formed on the basis of Deng Xiaoping's Chinese characteristic physical educational theories and Confucian educational thoughts and it is intended to guide the physical teaching principles, teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching methods and teaching assessment.(2) New century physical professionals should be educated on the basis of Confucian concept such as humanism and harmony.(3) Students' sense of social responsibilities and national pride should be cultivated based on Confucian theories such as benevolence and personality.(4) Students' awareness of self care and morality should be aroused in order to supplement and improve the courses of health care and moral education.(5) Students' sense of success and individuality should be fostered based on Confucian concept such as teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and learning with thinking.(6) The concepts of Humanism and Health should be carried out in order to confirm the ideas of human nature assessment and lifelong assessment.
