Exploration Of Modern College Students' Education Of Ideals And Conviction

Basing upon the intersection between Marxist Concept of history and anthropology, this article holds a deep going inquiry into the question for study about modern college students' education of ideals and convictions. Demonstration of connotation and characteristics of ideals and convictions and their interrelation, elaboration of the significance of college students' problems in ideals and convictions with the causes and exploration of the countermeasures to strenthen college students' ideals and convictions education are the theoretical framework of this article.The premise of argumentation lies in the discussion of realistic significance of ideals and convictions education for college students concerning with social function of ideals and conviction in addition to people's all-round development. The connitation, characteristics and ideals and convictions' interrelation are touched upon from the perspective of historical materialism. This article holds that ideals and convictions are the kind of self conciousness which go higher above reality, nature and self. They attatch to each other closely and complement each other as ideals are based upon convictions and convictions decides the content and direction of convictions. Thus to enhance ideals and convictions education will greatly benefit students' convictions to socialism and communisim. It helps to develop modern college students' political immunity. It is also helpful for students' maturity and all-round development.To inspect students' problems in ideals and convictions faithfully is the funcdation of this research. From such different angles as philosophy, economics,politics, sociology and psychology, I analysized students' problems in ideals and convictions and the reasons, from which we may infer that the characteristics of market economy, the practice of reform and opening policy, the changes in international polictic situation, process of economic globalization and misconstruction in college education have brought about great impact and complex influence towards college students' ideals and convictions.This research aims at the exploration of countermeasures to the education of college students' ideals and convictions from theory to practice, content to form and university to society. This article firmly believes that the education of college students' ideals and convictions is a complex system engineering which involves such aspects as the shift of concept of education, innovation of content and methods of education, extension of education fields and its ways, and construction of social environment.
