A Study Of The Young College Teachers’Ideals And Conviction Education

A long-range development of a nation should be education oriented. While an education plan should be teacher-centered. Higher education is under the mission to cultivate high quality talents and the qualified successors of the socialist cause. Young college teachers are important parts of the higher education staff. They are like the sun at eight or nine in the morning and hopes of the development of higher education. On the teacher which is one of the most famous works written by Han Yu. an ancient writer, once said,"Teachers are those who pass on the truth, impart knowledge and dispel ignorance." The specialty of a teacher is not only to impact knowledge, but also be a guide for ideals and conviction of the college students. So the ideals and convictions of the young college teachers is connected with the development of themselves, the quality of education, the carry-out of the socialist core value concept and greatly produce an impact on the development of our education cause.This paper mainly studies with young college teachers under40, and start from the definitions and importance of the ideals and conviction of the young college teachers. It is discussed the achievements, current problems and main reasons of the ideals and conviction of the young college teachers from the three aspects, analyzed the principles, contents, means, purpose and systems of the ideals and conviction of the young college teachers, and explored new effective ways for their ideals and conviction education on the basis of the fruits of other professors in this field and the author’s own teaching experience.The thesis consists of three parts.Part one explains the definitions and aims of ideals and conviction education of the young college teachers. It makes definitions of ideal conviction, young college teachers’ideal and conviction and young college teachers’ideals and conviction education and then it discusses its contents of the young college teachers’ideals and conviction educationPart two analvze the current situation and reasons of the young colleue teachers’ ideals and conviction education. This part mainly summarizes the latest development of the young college teachers’ ideals and conviction education, including the fruitiness and to-be solved problems. Furthermore, it analyzes the reasons of lacking ideals and conviction resulting in society, college and young college teachers themselves.Part three brings forward the suggestions for the young college teachers’ideals and conviction education. This part is the key point of this thesis, also the purpose of this study. The author supports that the ideals and conviction education should strengthen the education in two parts, social ideal and conviction education and professional ideal and conviction education. It also proposes several tentative solutions for these problems:First, consolidate the socialist core value system and create an excellent educational environment. Second, set up a long-term mechanism. Third, explore effective ways and put into practice. Last, strive for self-improvement.
