Investigation On And Analysis Of Factors Influencing The Occupational Conviction Of Tuition-free Normal College Students

The tuition-free educational policy for normal college students aims to attract outstanding senior high school students to apply for the pedagogical major, then create an atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education in the whole society and make teachers the most respected career of the society; more importantly, it is intended to cultivate a large number of excellent teachers and spur more young people to be educational workers all their life. The guarantee of this policy is a requisite for recruitment and cultivation of students in tuition-free education.The tuition-free normal college students are a group of people generated under the influence of the new policy and the normal college students'conviction for teachers is also an important factor that affects the effect of this policy. Through questionnaire survey and in-depth interview, analyze and discuss possible problems in recruitment, cultivation and future employment of tuition-free normal college students and meanwhile conduct a questionnaire survey on current work and life situation of primary school teachers in different regions. After the investigation, the following questions are obtained:in general, now the occupational conviction of tuition-free normal college students is not clear and the interest in and choice of the teacher profession as well as application reasons and goals are far from the original intention of the policy implementation; the employment and life condition of primary and secondary school teachers in different areas at the present are polarized seriously, which accordingly affects the career selection of tuition-free normal college students. Therefore, except for the implementation guarantee of the policy, many other factors will also affect the occupational conviction of tuition-free normal college students.This paper also tries to propose some corresponding solution strategies to promote the development of occupational convictions of tuition-free normal college students on the basis of theoretical statements and data analyses. Firstly, with the public opinion guidance of the government, promote the position of teachers in order to absorb more talents and make sure those who are most suitable for becoming teachers are enrolled. Secondly, in the process of education, teachers'occupational convictions should be established among the tuition-free normal college students to stimulate the enthusiasm in career-selecting. Finally, conditions for grass-rooted education should be improved and the incentive mechanism for employment should be established. Graduates from normal colleges are encouraged to contribute to the mid-west rural education.
