There are researches, to a certain extent, for the theory of EDUCATION INDUSTRY in the world now days. Scholars in China are still probing. On my knowledge, up to now, there is no integrated theoretic frame, there exists no even clear and satisfying parlance for the core concept-education industry, which causes difficulty for us to probe the theory. The author of this thesis believes that the exploitation for education industry will help us to understand the relations of education and economy, and, education and socialistic modernization construction, which will benefits the reconstruction of the socialistic market economic system, attracting the whole society to care education, invest in education and develop education. Based on the scientific exploitation idea, the author tries to probe the issue in this thesis.The author believes that the formation of education industry in China is historic development rather than chance. How do then we understand the core of education industry in China? What are the connotation, properties, features and law included it ? How does one think for the issues of the epistemology and the methodology of Chinese education industry? Based on the clue, the author tries to extend the new view of education industry, to analyze and to predict the development trend of education industry in this thesis. The thesis outlines as follows. In part I, several concepts, such as education industry, education market, education product and education service, are stated. In part II, the formation of Chinese education industry, and the position of Chinese education industry are stated by several aspects. In part III, the properties and features of education industry are stated. These properties include strategy property, revolutionary property, impartiality property, modern property, unbalance property, merchandise property and opening property. These fundament properties are the basis for us to further understand and master the law of education development in socialistic junior stage, and are also the theoretic principles for us to deepen the education reconstruction, to stimulate the socialistic modernization construction and to realize the modernization of education in China. Education industry is of material and unmaterial dual definition, which is the important exhibition of education industry's properties. That is the important feature for us to distinct education industry from standard industry and other service industries. Education industry is of the unifications of common property and private property, commonweal property and merchandise property, production property and consume property, precursor property and sluggish property, global property and individual property, and enterprise property and industry property. In part IV, the issues of the epistemology and the methodology for Chinese education industry's evolution are probed.
