Andragogy's independent value and function in the deserving condtion forms the big contrast with the humble position in the realistic condition, which is the basis of the thesis. This thesis wants to make people clear the interior and exterior problem which influence Andragogy's independence through perceiving and analyzing why its has so humble independence as a possible discipline. And then conies further study on how to orientate and how to develop in the course of heading for the real independence in the following period, which can offer a few inspiration for gradually improving its research environment, innovating its condition of theoretic research for gradual exalting the status of its independence. In summary, from the standpoints of the retrospection and outlook, deconstruction and reconstruction, the thesis discusses the Andragogy's independence as a possible independent discipline based on the overall development of Andragogy.Part one. The thesis discusses the essence of Andragogy and the criterion of disciplinary independence. On the basis of taking emphasis analysis on the definition by the domestic and international scholars, the thesis definite Andragogy as a joint name of all learning research of adult education. Further, which generalize research fruit of the branch disciplines from the overall perspective, investigate the "commonness" and "generalization" of the complicated practice of adult education. At the same time, contrast three confusing concept with Andragogy. On the basis of themain view of disciplinary independence's criteria, the thesis puts forward a new criterion which includes exterior and interior aspects. The former points whether or not adapting the demands of the times. The latter points logic aspects, which includes single research object, adaptive research methods, special research troop and more mature theory system. The definition of disciplinary independence's criterion is a difficulty in the thesis.Part two. Corresponding the exterior of the disciplinary independence's criterion, the thesis analyzes the values of Andragogy which exists as an independent discipline, which is the rational and legal bases of Andrgogy's independence. Firstly, be propitious to modulating and guiding practice of adult education. Secondly, be propitious to improving and uplifting the research fruits of adult education. Thirdly, be propitious to furthering and consummating the development of Pedagogy .The fourth, be propitious to pushing the construction of life-long education. The fifth, be propitious to promoting and realizing the overall development of adult.The third part is detailed to analyze the exterior and interior factor. The latter is the key of influencing independence ,s"o it is an important factor. The former to a certain degree obstacle the Andragogy independence. The interior factor pointedly analyzed six aspects: the low degree of the concept in the criterion and science, the transplantation of research thoughtfulness, the thin weakening of the research group, the utility of the research center, the widespread repetition of the research, and theories system of lax. The exterior factor primarily includes four aspects: the value's deviation, impugnation of Pedagogy's independent position, the impact of the " scientific discipline " and the practical research custom.After the analysis of obstacles of disciplinary independence of Andragogy, the thesis discusses the ways and methods which exalting its status of independence, this is a center of whole thesis. This part primarilydiscusses the guiding thought, the basic principles and the main strategic which Andragogy should follow in the course of heading for independence.In accordance with the actual condition of Andragogy, mainly in the existent problem, the thesis takes pursuing special features as the development's leading thought, puts forward five principles that hold: internal developments and exterior support, the foundation study and application study, be dependent on oneself and strengthen the communi...
