In China, adult education has a history of several thousand years, among which there are some summaries of experience and rational knowledge that are suitable for the practice of human's production and life in the special historical period. But as a theory of education, China's Andragogy is a new subject. The research of this subject began in the 20th century, especially in the recent 20 years.With the development of the practice of adult education and the hard work of China's scholars, the theory research of China's Andragogy has gained great achievements. With the entry of 21 century, the construction of the subject of China's Andragogy has developed obviously. But at the same time, its research object has become quite complex and multiple. The complex and multiple has provided the rich research sources for the construction of the subject of China's Andragogy, meanwhile, there are a lot of new problems and cases to be solved. These new problems and cases need to be analyzed and explained scientifically.This thesis bases on the current situation of the development of China's Andragogy, especially the achievements in the research of the construction of the subject of China's Andragogy to reflect the problems about the property of China's Andragogy, the research object of China's Andragogy and the subject system of China's Andragogy. At the same time, this thesis has prospected for the development of China's Andragogy in order to promote the development of the subject.In the content arrangement, this paper includes three chapters:Chapter one summarizes the main achievements of the subject construction of Andragogy during the past few years in the 21 st century. This chapter states the main ideas about the basic concepts of Andragogy, the relation of Andragogy to related subjects, the research object of Andragogy, the research method of Andragogy, and the basic structure of subject system of Andragogy. Chapter two reflects the property of Andragogy, the research object of Andragogy, and the basic structure of subject system of Andragogy. For this, this thesis forms the idea that China's Andragogy is a basic theoretical subject, which is determined by the nature of the education study. To the research object of China's Andragogy, Chinese scholars have different understanding, which inevitable leads to different China's Andragogy that have different substance. This thesis have the idea that the research object of China's Andragogy should reflect the entirety of China's Andragogy and the direct and main research object of this subject should be adult education. Chinese scholars have made great effort to construct the system of China's Andragogy. This effort is the reflection and it is natural during the developing process of the subject. But as a subject, China's Andragogy is still in its childhood, that is, the subject system is still in the construction and forming. At present, the work we should do is to base on the practice of the adult education and speed up the innovation of the theory of China's Andragogy. Only in this way, can China's Andragogy grow up an independent and mature subject.Chapter three summarizes the significance of the subject construction of China's Androgogy and looks ahead the development of the subject construction of China's Androgogy in the 21st century. This paper states that in the new century, the subject will adhere to the scientific principle, strength its times, openness, science, entirety, practice and independence so as to urge the subject to develop mature and perfect.
