Inquirty learning is one big hot point of foundation course reform in our county. It is still in the elemental and experimental stage at present. This article aims to study how to use maths methods of thinking as guides and develop middle school maths inquirty learning better. Mainly I do the three -aspect work. First, probe in the intention, characteristic, organize and enforcement mode, and appraise mode of inquirty learning; set out the notion and characteristic of inquirty learning. Second, sort out the main maths methods of thinking in middle school. Set out the inter link between them and inquirty learning. Point out it is the immanence require of maths inquirty learnig. Third, discuss the directing role of the five math methods of thinking during the course of maths inquirty learning and draw out certain living examples of maths inquirty learning.
