The theory of Constructivism is paid great attention to mathematics education circle today. The aim of this study is to find out the primary factors that influence students to construct mathematics knowledge and the way to arouse students' enthusiasm for constructing mathematics knowledge to improve teaching quality.After consulting the materials correlated with this study, soliciting opinions from many mathematics teachers and distributing questionnaires among teachers, the factors I found that influence students to construct mathematics knowledge are: the constructivism conception of teachers, the form of teaching, the relation between teachers and students, the enthusiasm for mathematics, the students' conception of mathematics, students' original understanding of mathematics construction, the difference of students' sight and hearing and thinking, the students' metacognition improvements.I have made experiments about this study in the class I taught from 2001 to 2002. During the period of nearly a year ,1 paid special attention to applying constructivism in teaching, grasping the four factors of teaching , making efforts to develop students' interests in learning mathematics, creating healthy teaching atmosphere, actively carrying out out-of-classroom mathematics activities and attaching importance to developing students practice in mathematics. The findings of experiments show that the teaching quality improved greatly, especially for the students above average level.So I get a conclusion that: Teachers should increase the awareness of studying for the whole life; Optimize the teaching course; Enrich students' experience of practice mathematics; Attach importance to extracurricular activities; Teach students how to learn.
