The development of our society requires a new standard for people, and the world needs more creative talents. To fulfill the fundamentals of education we must develop the students' researching abilities and gradually improve their abilities of analyzing and solving problems. There are two ways to develop the students' research abilities: one is to develop them with subject-oriented teaching methods, and the other is to devise a corresponding curriculum (a curriculum of research). With the current educational background, the main setting for the implementation of quality-oriented education is the classroom. In my opinion, to truly convert the students' ways of learning, and cultivate their research ability in a better way, it is necessary for the teachers to place more emphasis on classroom teaching, and to develop the students' research ability in the senior high school chemistry courses, the teachers should note the following:I. Determine suitable teaching aimsWhile imparting students with the fundamental knowledge and ability, place importance on the researching ability, which might include the following aspects:1. Improve their ability for finding, posing, analyzing and solving problems.2. Train both the ability to think openly and the probing spirit of the students, and cultivate the students' spirit of seeking knowledge by maximizing the extents of their awareness and their quality of thinking.3. Train the students to have the ability to use more channels through which to obtain information, as well as the ability to manage and apply this information.4. Implement the training of the most basic methods of scientific research, while allowing the students to begin to grasp the patterns and methods of scientific research and exploration relating to chemistry, and cultivate their scientific awareness and performance.5. Using the classroom teaching, elevate the students' interest in the study of chemistry.II. Formulate the proper angle1. The students' leader in their quest for knowledge: An important way to develop the students' probing spirit and research abilities is through their initiative to seek knowledge. An important task of the teacher while in class is to develop the students' awareness and ability to study on their own.2. The students' guide to accelerate the development of their interest: Curiosity is the tendency to probe new things willingly, and the interest and desire developed from this is the main impulse that guides the students to engage in some creative activities and the most important reason to lead the students to scientific research.3. The students' chief trainer in shaping their personality: In the course of teaching the instructor should concentrate on developing the students' spirit of improvement, helping the students abandon their over-cautiousness, and encouraging and educating the students to form the "question everything" spirit.III. Select effective teaching tactics1. Tactics of activity: In the course of conducting experiments, the teachers should not only emphasize the students' motivation, but place even greater emphasis on the release of the students' subjective activities so that the students are able to study more actively.2. Tactics of the process: In the design of the teaching construction of chemistry, the teacher should take both the process and the result into consideration, and focus more on the students' process of attaining knowledge.3. Tactics of openness: In the classroom, the teachers should give the students a sense of context, and train the students' ability to form divergent and critical thought, so that the students can internalize and intimately know the principles of study, as well as the foundation of knowledge.IV. Devise a precise teaching modelThe specific implement of good educational thought and teaching tactics in the classroom depends on a certain teaching model. In my experience I devised the teaching model "five se...
