The new curriculum reform of elementary education in China will change the old curriculum system and concept thoroughly. It is also important adjustment from the former philosophical ideas and values of curriculum. Besides formulating new curriculum standard and compiling new textbooks, the key to realize this curriculum reform is how to let teachers accept and understand new curriculum , then they can change ideal curriculum to true curriculum.Elementary teachers are key element on whether the curriculum reform succeed. Some ideas of new curriculum are not known to and used by teachers in the past, so they pose a great challenge to teachers' thought and practice. New teachers should relocate and understand the traditional role , and get ready with new ideas and ability. This article pays close attention to elementary teachers' acceptation and adjustment of new curriculum to how they behave appropriately .Then they can execute and construct new curriculum effectively.This article begins with annotation-of.new curriculum ideas, so it can set reasonable foundation to role transformation of elementally teachers, The new curriculum system changes a lot on its function, Structure, content , enaction and evaluation .It requires teachers to change conventional teaching way and action and establish a new kind of educational idea. So they can perform reasonably. As to "transformation" , we should know those unappropriate old roles of teachers. This article only chooses and expounds three representative roles.Elementary teachers' roles transformation has its certainty and necessity. The first is philosophical basis. New knowledge ideas propose the concept of perspective knowledge. Teachers and students all have right to interpret curriculum. They can understand and construct knowledge from their own perspective. And those knowledge become active and lifelike,not static and fixed ones. The integration of curriculum and teaching and the instruction of curriculum culture also need teachers change the former roles, build equal, cooperate relationship between teacher and students and promote students' development.Elementary students have their unique characteristics. They not only have a strong exposure to teachers, but also have progressively strengthening assertion of their independence. These all put a challenge to elementary teachers to take appropriate roles. On the base of these two questions, we can get the new role relocation of elementary teachers : the facilitator of students development, the cooperator of teaching action, the participator of curriculum development.Then how to act these new roles? The first is to grasp and understand social expectation to elementary teachers. Which can be summarized as "be a paragon of virtue and learning" . The teacher should become example of children; then they form correspondin-g role consciousness, and perform accordingly to this consciousness. Teachers should become researchers of their own educational practice, reflect their own teaching and consist in bringing forth new ideas; Through long-term role practice ,the new role pattern is progressively withdrawn and personified , and become a kind of role belief. This role psychology once takes its shape, then it can affect directly teachers' educational tactics and performance. These three questions on "how to do " do not have strict order. They go together and infiltrate mutually and give common service to old roles transformation of elementary teachers . Then teachers can grow with each passing day and develop with new curriculum .
