It was in 1983 that Internet came into being.Due to its characteristics of quickness and con venience,it has not only been used in military, but also in such areas as politics, economy and culture. The development of network has become an overwhelming trend since 1990`s.Network has brought about civilization and progress to human society. It has not only provided college students with more channels to learn about the society and the world, but also provided us with various sources of information for our moral education work. But simultaneously,it has also had some negative effects. It has had great effects on the construction of social ideology. It has great impact on the means of the construction of socialist ideology. With its miscellaneous content, some of which is even a departure from our socialist moral education content, network has also had some negative effects on our moral education work.especially in colleges and universities. When college students get on line to chat with others, they can always encounter some, negative and irresponsible speech which will directly influence their concepts, emotion and psychology. So to speak, the rising and development of Internet have caused us to be confronted with challenges.Whether we can face these challenges calmly and grasp this opportunity has become a pressing matter of the moment. In the network age, probing into the problem of breaking new paths in moral education systematically is the issue of great importance facing us at present. After referring to many documents related,I conducted asurvey among 500 students from 20 majors of Yanbian University. Then I systematically analyse this issue from several aspects as follows:the rising of Internet;the reasons why college students are obsessed with getting on line and its consequent advantages and side effects;the challenges network has offered us and the corresponding measures we should take.Based on my analysis,I presented some proposals and opinions of my own.I hope the proposed measures will be used for reference by our college moral education workers.
