As a raPid1y developing high-tech, Intemet exerts a greater and greater influenceupon human society. As a result, the thoughts and behavior of young college studentshave also been deeply affected. Viewed from this perspective, this dissertation mainlystudies the influences of Illternet on the thoughts, morality and psychology of collegestudents and the refOrm of moral education in practice in institutes of higher leamingresulted from such influences. It consists of six chaPters besides introduction andconclusion.ChaPter One: Intemet and its Influences. Wth Intemet as the main studying object,this chaPter deals with the definition, origin and deve1opment of Illtemet, thecharacteristics of Illtemet as the integrated thing of the fourth information revolution, themain functions and featllres of Iniemet and its influences upon human society, highereducation and the youth in China.ChaPter Two: Influences of Illtemet on the Thoughts. Morality and Psychology ofCollege Students. Based on the study of Illtemet and focusing on the problem of "thethoughts, morality and psychology of college students under the influence of Intemet",this chaPter develops the research thIough questionnaires and interviews. The author firsthanded oat questionnaires at three universities and got 562 copies back. Then the authorprocessed the data on the questionnaires, obtained the results of the survey and preseniedthem in form of tabulation. Meanwhile, the author also presented some simple analysisbased on correlated theories.ChaPter ThIee: Moral Education in Institutes of Higher Leaming Faces theChallenge of Intemet. Based on the study of the definition, the meaning, the historicaldevelopment and the actuality of moral education in institutes of higher learning, theauthor discusses a series of confusion in moral education in institutes of higher leamingwhich arises from the challenge of Internet.ChaPter Fouf, ChaPter Five and ChaPter Six are the three parts of the study on theproblem of "Illtemet and the reform of moral education in institutes of higher leaming".Each chaPter consists of tWo sections and there are six sections altogether. The threechaPters theoretically and practically discusses the subect of the reform of moral.education in institotes of higher leaming from six aspects: the environment of moraleducation, the concept of moral education, the conteni of moral education, themethodology of moral education, the power of moral education and the management ofmoral education.Section One: hitemet Has Created a New Environment for Moral Education inInstitutes of Higher Leaming. As one of the inducements to the reform of moraleducation in institutes of higher leaming, Internet has created the new fictitious livingenvironment and its influence has changed the moral environment in and outsideinstitutes of higher leaming. Under the influence of Internet, the teaching staff has tostudy the change of social environment for moral education, the change of the interiorenvironment for moral education in institutes of higher leaming and the change ofenVirotunent on the web for moral education. Mastering these changes is the basis for therefOrm of moral education in institutes of higher leaming.Section Two: Intemet and the Reform of the ConcePts of Moral Education inhistitutes of Higher Ledring. Summedzing the problems of past moral education andcombined with the innuence of Internet on the moral concePts of college students, thissection puts forward six concePtlla1 changes on moral education under the influence ofIntemet, namely, frOm closing to openng; from engrafting to inducting; from ranking toequaling; from Un1atera1 educating to mutual educating; from other-discipline toself discipline; from objecting to' subecting.Section ThIee: hitemet and the RefOrm of Content of Moral Education in Institutesof Higher Ledring.
