Research On Storage Problems In Education

With the improvement of the basic information facilities and the enrichment of the info-materials, there appear the storage problems in the educational informalization process, which are now catching the researchers' attention. Recognizing the realistic significance on optimizing the computer storage in educational field, the author makes a survey to find out the storage status in education field. According to the result from the survey and the literature, the author firstly introduces NAS, a new technology available to solve the computer storage problems, and then makes a detailed analysis on how to select and utilize the NAS products to facilitate the computer storage in education field.The dissertation involves in five parts:In the first part, the author overviews the storage status in education field, analyzes the relevant problems and the possible reasons attributing to the hindrance of the informalization. Based on the analysis, the author gives out three research approaches in the dissertation; emphases will be placed on the three points in the following parts.In the second part, the author introduces NAS, a new technology available to solve the computer storage problems in education field. By analyzing the features of NAS and the technology requirements from the educational applications, the author finds that NAS is a ideal technology to meet the need from the practical field in education.In the third part, the author makes a detailed exploration on how to evaluate and select the NAS products. Evaluation for the NAS products is helpful for customers to select the best performance/price rate products according to their own requirements. From this point, the author develops a NAS evaluation system that reflects the requirements from the customers to help them selecting the appropriate products.In the forth part, on the basis of the previous analysis, the author develops the NAS solution to the computer storage problems. The comparison between NAS solution and traditional solutions is also made to illuminate the strongpoint of the NAS solution.In the final part, the author generalizes both the fruits and the limitations of the research; directions of the later relevant researches are also pointed out.
