Globalization not only means competition and challenge in economic, but also means the competition of national culture and ethos. Under the condition of globalization, we have to face to the danger of the feeble of national status, and the disappearance of national language and national culture clinging to it. Under this background, the printing of new possessed special value and significance. "To cultivate ethos in Chinese teaching " is a new question for discussion bring forward under this new visual field and background.This paper trying to attention and survey traditional national culture under the background of globalization, and to discuss the significance of the excellent Chinese national culture for the development of our nation and even for the development of human culture. From this point of view, the Chinese natural viewpoint of "human and nature should harmoniously mix in" , the moral viewpoint to mix in others based on the Confucianism of "kindheartedness" are accorded with the modern society require to mix in nature and other people. Therefore, it is not only having nation significance to inherit excellent cultural tradition, to figure nation character and morals, but also will bring active effect on human civilization course. In the same time, this is put forward aimed at the ubiquitous moral lapse in Chinese modern society and the nation inferiority complex induced by the impulsion of extra culture on traditional culture. Although the issue of sincerity, nation moral integrity, nation culture self-esteem are not only Chinese teaching subject, simply depend on Chinese teaching can not thoroughly solve this problem, but since the Chinese language is the carrier of nation culture and nation spirit,it has a superiority that other method can not replace in edifying personality, perfusion spirit, cultivate national self-confidence.Based on this cognition, this paper put forward the problem "to cultivate national spirit in Chinese teaching" . Trying to do some useful discussion in theoretic explore and teaching practice from the aspect that is favorable to the inheritance of national culture and to the renaissance of national spirit.This paper manly include following contents: 1 Chinese teaching crisis under globalization background. This question was outspreaded from two aspects, firstly introduced the characteristics and essential of globalization briefly, secondly, analyzed the disfigurements exist in Chinese teaching and the crisis it is facing to. 2 The review and reformation of Chinese teaching in the face of globalization. It mainly contains 3 parts of content: The review and discussion on the Chinese subject quality. The criticism and construction of language curriculum compile. The review and the reformation of the evaluation of Chinese teaching. 3 The significance of new < criterion of Chinese curriculum> in inheritance of national traditions and in figuration of national character and morals. It was mainly discussed from three aspects: Chinese characters embody the aesthetic sentiment and life interest of the Han nationality. Chinese stink national individuality, embody national character and morals. Chinese literature represent the Chinese national spirit of constantly strive to become stronger. 4 The methods and approaches to nurture national spirit in the practice of Chinese teaching. This includes two aspects: first, when reading a literature work, the reader must dissolve his life into the work; second, life experience is the first factor in Chinese learning. At the end of this part, a Chinese teaching case was attached. Certainly, it is impossible to nurture student' s moral personality and to figure national spirit only by this sole class; I only hope to do some useful discussion by this case study.In a word, this paper trying to unscramble new criterion of Chinese curriculum by a kind of bran-new method, and to expatiate the valuation and significance of new criterion in the viewpoint of globalization.
