To vitalize the nation by science and education" is the key policy that is closely related to the prosperity of the cause of socialism modernization. To "vitalize the nation" relies on "science and education", and to "vitalize the education" depends on teachers. Students from normal schools (Normal School Students) are the future teachers of the middle and elementary schools, the degree of their sense of responsibility of education constrains how much efforts they make, and furthermore, it is directly connected with the result that whether they could cultivate the qualified students of the next generation or not. It is not only the responsibility but also the duty of the normal schools to cultivate the sense of the educational responsibility of the students. And how to cultivate this sense is what this essay wants to explore. This essay is divided into there parts.I raise the question in the first part and illustrate it mainly from two aspects. On one hand, I have illustrated the significance of the educational responsibility. Firstly, I talk about what is responsibility? what is moral responsibility? and what's the significance of the moral responsibility? Secondly, I point out that the educational responsibility belongs to the category' of sense of profession in the structure of the sense of theresponsibility by analyzing the connotation of the responsibility, structure and classification, and illustrate the important significance of the cultivation of the sense of the educational responsibility. On the other hand, combining the present situations of the normal schools and its students, I have analyzed the present situation of the educational responsibility of normal students and find that it is not optimistic and unsatisfied, so I raise the issue that the schools should strengthen the cultivation of the sense of the educational responsibility.In the second part, the factors that influence the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students are analyzed. And the illustration of the connotation of the sense of the educational responsibility goes first, and secondly, I probe and investigate the factors that influence the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students from the inner and the exterior, that is, the objective factors such as the whole environment of the market economy of socialism, the family education, the school education and so on; and the subjective factors such as the self-consciousness, the individual personality and the value orientation of the contemporary normal school students and etc.In the third part, I propose the practicing strategy of cultivating the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students. First, I have reviewed and commented on the various schools and viewpoints of the educational responsibility and make an analysis of the strategy of cultivatingthe sense of the educational responsibility. Then, I make some illustrations on the general guiding principles and practicing methods of the current cultivation of the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students in our country. Finally, I give my suggestions of the practicing strategy on the cultivation of the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students. I also give my proposals on improving the exterior environment of strengthening the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students from various angles such as the cultivation of the right outlook of value, the establishment of new view of educational responsibility, the improvement of the teaching method, the stress of the social practice etc; and I suggest that we dig up the capacity and potential in the cultivation of the sense of the educational responsibility of normal school students from different channels , for example, the cultivation of the self-consciousness, the sense of the educational responsibility, the ability of self-teaching and the respect of individual personality.
