Literature is crystallization of human wisdom and emotion. The value of Literature lies in the comfort of human soul, the enlargement of human individuality, Meeting the requirements of human spiritual life. The development of modem industry makes the technical rational overextend, human spirit lost; and human soul in the panic and the dark. The purpose of literature education is to help people get again what they have lost, and the spiritual homeland, where we can properly place our soul.The largest shortcoming of modern Chinese education is the lack of literature. Because of the tend of over charge to teaching technology and the attitude to reinforce the knowledge, Chinese education lacks solid humanistic foundation, which is in need of quality education, We must fix our eyes on literature education, and make reasonable use of pure technical knowledge teaching.This thesis is formed mainly in document way, and referring to some investigating acts. On theory, The author puts his feet mainly on humanism and discussion of literature theory, It begins with quality education and takes in the new theory of modern education. On literature education, it expounds its important position in Chinese teaching not only from its value but from its function; On reality, it expounds the pre-sent situation of Chinese education with investigation to supply literature education with reference.This' thesis has three important parts. The first part is on how literature education is about, It's present function and it's present research. The second is about the present situation of Chinese education. Through the way analyse to investigation, documents, etc. Tell out how Chinese education cause the Literature education fade out. The third is on the change of teaching sense and teaching form, the development of teachers' quality, that is how to treat with examinations and literature activities of outside class. Here the author tries to give some advice on how to carry out the quality education in Chinese teaching.Generally speaking, this article means to provide more information to Chinese education through discussing the position and function of literature education, So it will help to change the teaching view and put the Chinese reformation and quality education into practice.
