Career Management is an important part of Human Resources Management. As a long-term and dynamic managerial process of organization, Career Management exists in the whole processes of employees' career development and organizational development. Every member of organization has particular characteristics and goals in the different phases of career. Besides career, employees have their physiological lifecycles and family lifecycles. When these three lifecycles work simultaneously, employees will face problems of work/family balance unavoidably. Problem of work/family balance has become a new task in research of Human Resource Management and attach much attention of researchers. But most of existing study still stop at the phase of arising the problem, there are not theoretically systemic argumentation about causes of formation, characters, rules and resolvents of this problem.The fist key part of this paper is argumentation of connection between career management and work/family balance. This part studies the theoretical basis of work/family balance and decides the position of work/family balance in Human Resources Management. This paper demonstrates the existence of work/family balance in career development from three aspects of criteria of career success, the role of organization in career management and characteristics of career phasesrespectively.In the fourth chapter, author analyzes the definition and types of connection between work and family, introduces the theory of work/family connection. In addition, author discusses the character and rules of work/family connection from the respects of the changes of work/family connection, work/family conflicts and its' impacts on organization and employees. In this chapter, author indicates the cause of information and rules of work/family balance, demonstrates the meaning of work/family balance, and makes the preparation theoretically for introduction of work/family balance plan.The last two sections of this paper are suggestions of tactics and application of work/family balance plan. These are the most important parts in this paper. On the basis of work/family connection theory, author brings forward the definition of organizational support and makes it as core of work/family balance plan.In this paper, work/family balance plan includes general balance tactics and balance tactics of different career development phases. General work/family balance tactics consist of formal organizational supports and informal organizational supports. Author makes simple study about application of work/family balance plan form the aspects of principles of plan and basis of application respectively.All in all, author demonstrates the cause of formation, characters, rules and resolvents of work/family balance in career management on the whole in this paper.
