Our society has kept fast development since reform and opening up while the higher education in china has gradually become universal. Along with the faster paced life and increased pressure of daily life, an increasing number of women enter the workplace, becoming one of the main contributors to the economic development of companies and society as career female. The2011report published by The Economist showed that China has the biggest scale of career female. And the number is nearly70%. However, career female have been bearing enormous pressure from society, work and family on account of their special identity and role they play. In such case, career female frequently face with serious work-family conflict because of the relativity and scarcity of people’s time, energy and all kinds of resource. In the "China’s urban women’s quality of living survey of2008" released by China Women’s Federation,"Goodbaby Education","Work Pressure and Career Development" and "Work-Family Balance" were the top three problems for career female. It is obviously that such bad work-family relationship, on one hand, damages career female’s physical and mental health; On the other hand, is not beneficial to the harmonious development of the families, companies and society. The above problems urge the scholars to do intensive study in the career female’s work-family relationship and to put forward the functional mechanism so as to guide the career female to realize the balance between work and family.Literatures on employee’s job performance have been for a long time which indicates that job performance is important to both employees themselves and their companies and it deserves continuous study. In the context that the society kept fast developed, scholars need conduct the study on job performance with a new perspective. People find that emotional intelligence has a more and more important impact on people’s work and life. It is emotional intelligence rather than intelligence quotient that plays a deceive role in the complicated society for everyone. And the study on emotional intelligence helps people to find new ways to solve the work-family balance problems from the perspective of individual itself. This paper carries an empirical study on the relationship between career female’s work-family balance and job performance which takes emotional intelligence as an intermediary variable on the basis of positive psychology and positive organizational behavior. Finally, the paper aims to table feasible proposals for the healthy development of career female and propose solutions to improve the performance of the companies and career female.This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction. The introduction mainly contains the research background, the research significance, the research object and the key conceptions, the research method, the research framework and the innovation the paper may has. The second part is the literature review. The paper systematically reviewed the current research status of work-family balance, job performance, emotional intelligence on the basis of studying the domestic and foreign related literature, including the definition of variables, dimensionality, antecedent variables and outcome variables. Also, the paper reviewed the relationships among work-family balance, job performance and emotional intelligence in order to find the value of this paper. The third part is the research design. It includes the research model, the choice of scales and the proposal of research hypothesis. The fourth part is the data analysis and the hypothesis testing. The paper use SPSS19.0to analyze the sample data collected which includes the sample structure analysis, the scale reliability and validity test, the variables descriptive statistical analysis, the variable correlation analysis and the variable regression analysis. The data the author collected finally verified the hypothesis. The fifth part is the research conclusions and advice the author put forward to the career female, companies and society. At the end of this paper, the author pointed out the shortage of this research and the research prospect.The main research conclusions and innovations are as follows:First, it verifies the relationship between work-family balance and job performance of the career female. The work-family balance is positively correlated with job performance. Specifically, work-family conflict is negatively correlated with both the task performance and the contextual performance. Work-family facilitation is positively correlated with both the task performance and the contextual performance.Second, it takes emotional intelligence into the study and verifies its modulation effect. The paper finds that the emotional intelligence plays a positively modulation effect on the relationship between work-family balance and job performance. It means that the higher the emotional intelligence of career female is, the more positive the relationship between work-family balance and job performance is.Third, it carries out the research from the perspective of career female. The paper takes career female as its research object. Currently, most of the researches about work-family balance focus on the study of its antecedent variables and outcome variables while job performance focuses on the team performance or general personal performance. The research about career female can. perfect the research about work-family balance and job performance in the general.
