In recent years, with the educational reform, teachers' occupational stress has become more salient. Some investigations have already shown that teaching profession belongs to those that are under stress at present, which leads to negative effects on the teachers' mentality, behavior, physiology and so on. Subjects are teachers from primary and middle schools of Tacheng city, Adopted the psychological test, study discusses the current situation and sources of stress, and its corresponding counter-measures .The results show:1. In Tacheng city, primary and middle school teachers undergo much very heavy occupational stress , and it has already caused negative effects on teachers' health and working performance.2. Different kinds of teachers have different feeling of occupational stress: specially male teachers are significantly higher than female teachers; primary school teachers are significantly lower than middle school teachers; middle school teachers are a bit higher than those in high school , however, it isn' t significant. In primary schools, the order of teachers' feeling of general stress with different occupational title is middle, primary and advanced level teachers; in middle schools, it is primary, middle and advanced level teachers; but in high schools, it is middle, advanced and primary level teachers. Teachers' degree has significant effect on the feeling of occupational stress, and the tendency is undergraduate, technical secondary and academic teachers. Teachermasters are significantly higher than ordinary teachers and school managers. In primary and middle schools, teachers who have taught for not more than 5 and 16-20 years have the strongest feeling ofoccupational stress, the secondary are those who have taught for 11?15 and 21?5 years, and the smallest are those who have taught for over 26 years.3. The teachers' occupational stress is greatly influenced by society, schools and individuals.4. Cope-with style is related to the negative effects caused by stress, but most teachers adopt mature counter梞easures when they face stressful situations.5. Teachers' characteristics have not significant influence on the feeling of occupational stress, but teachers' characteristics have significantly different influence on the negative effects caused by occupational stress. Characteristic has something to do with the cope-with style.This study discusses and analyzes the findings, and even puts forward corresponding counter-measures to alleviate the teachers' occupational stress as follows: 1 Teachers self-managment; 2, school managment; 3, society managment.
