Teaching is always considered as one of the most stressful professions. With the educational reform, teachers'occupational stress has become more and more salient during recent years. Some investigations have shown that teaching profession which leads to negative effects on the teachers'mentality, behavior, physiology and so on. A questionnaire, which was made by Zhu Congshu, Shen Jiliang and Liu Jiaxia, is used to survey 225 teachers from Changchun public middle schools, tries to reveal the level and sources of teachers'professional stress, and discover the relationship between teachers'professional stress and demographic variables. The result of the research suggests as the following.1. 29.8% of the teachers in the survey rate being a teacher as very stressful while 42.7% of the teachers rate as extremely stressful. These display the fact that generally speaking, teaching is full of stress.2. The analysis of the sources of stress reveals six factors labeled: workload, self-development factor, students factor, examination factor, the relationship with others, occupational expectation.3. Workload and subjects of teaching are the most outstanding: the more workload, the higher stress level a teacher may reach; teachers of Chinese, mathematics and English suffer more stress than others teachers who teach other subjects. This research provides the counter-measure to relive the teachers'occupational stress as follow: (1) Society management, (2) School management, (3) Individual management.
