In this article, with the further development of the basic education reform, a new round of curriculum reform is advancing upon us. The reform will decide whether the Chinese modern socialism strategies can be successfully carried out in the 21st century .The new curriculum reform greatly initiates autonomous learning, which accelerates the development of students' knowledge and competence at the same time. As for the vast country areas where the education is backward to some degree and the education resources are comparatively wretched, how to meet the needs of the times and cultivate creative intellectuals is an important task facing a great many country educators.Firstly, against a background of new curriculum reform, the writer finds out the teaching situation of country high school physics and the students' learning state by investigating the learning situations of country high school students, and contemplates these situations a lot. He expounds the importance and emergence of developing and improving country high school students' autonomous learning ability of physics, using the research theories of pedagogics and psychology.Secondly, drawing on the experience of the teaching concepts of constructivism, the writer theoretically probes deep into how to cultivate students' physics autonomous learning ability. He also puts forward changing teaching concepts and learning patterns by arousing students' physics learning interest and cultivating learning motives; thus he defines the student- centered modern teaching concepts, raising some cultivating methods and strategies.Thirdly, the writer carries out deep research into teaching practice by devoting himself to physics teaching front for many years, and audaciously carries on teaching reform and attempts to exploit the teaching functions of physics lessons, gaining obvious effects on cultivating and improving physics learning ability. The writer tries to find out some experience of cultivating students' physics autonomous learning ability, summarizing a series of teaching models of modern physics lessons.Finally, the writer concludes that the success or failure of education depends on teachers. Modern teachers' task lies in leading students to the road of autonomous learning and instructing them to discover how to think and how to find out the ways of solving problems so that students can form a good habit of raising questions and solving them by themselves after thinking independently.
