On the basis of some research work of social capital theories, the basic assumption of this article is the variety of proletariat status' transformation depends on their social capital change. In China, the proletariat is a kind of city group that is connected with non-agriculture, such as industry, service, information etc. Social status means the individual's position in the social institution and relative rights and obligations. Differentiation to general meaning is referring things transmit from homogeneity to heterogeneity.According to social capital theories, this study's prime point is that before innovation the proletariat's high status and little differentiation mainly depend on their different social capitals. The proletariat's ideology and socialism politics institution pledge the proletariat's high politic status. The socialism public-owned economy institution guarantees the proletariat's high economic status. The social policy guarantees the least inner differentiation in the proletariat. These macro social capital decide worker enjoys high profession reputation as a profession in a society, and the worker is a high status. Before innovation, the micro social capital's influence is much less than the macro social capital. This study thinks that the proletariat's status differentiation mainly depends on the changes of their social capital share. The change of "left" ideology, economy institutions, social policies, and the social environment change not only differ the proletariat's social status, but also decide the social capital which decides the proletariat's social status transfer from macro to micro, the individual social capital becomes the decisive element for one's social status.How to consider the status changes of proletariat? This study thinks that the proletariat is still the leader class of China, is still the social class which directly connect with advanced productivity. But the society of China is changing, the proletariat of China must change. This study concludes that the proletariat of China must change to modern human, the change way to modern human mainly reflects on the transfer of thinking mode. The way of change is to strengthen the construction of inspirit civilization and education.
