Under the background of land urbanization and the rapid advance of the commercialization of housing, a large number of rural communities converted to urban communities. According to the "National Urban land use data aggregation of results analysis report", 2009-2013 five-year period of the national land area increased by14.5% in this city, towns land area increased 21.7%. And, 16% of households experienced land acquisition, demolition in promoting the process of urbanization. This brings a direct consequence of living space differentiation is more serious, outside the community, within the community was fragmented state. Embedded in networks of social capital resources that is.So living space whether it will affect the generation of increased individual and social capital? Previous studies have not answered it. Based on this, we use 2012 national General Social Survey data, the use of single-factor analysis of variance, multiple linear regression model to compare different groups, different residential types of rural social capital differences and social capital in the space of different groups of distribution, and analysis living space, family and social status, social position of the individual social capital gained influence.The main conclusions of this study: Social capital there is a significant spatial differentiation, but individual social capital mean transitional community is significantly lower than other types of residential area, individual social capital mean difference to communities with traditional old city can be attributed to family and individual factors;Moreover, there are different groups of social capital significant spatial differences.About the role of the family and individual characteristics of social capital, father's education and household income as the representative of the family social status has a significant positive impact on social capital; and finally, the social position of individuals having diversity on social capital. Education, occupational class and party membership for individual social capital has a significant positive effect on men than women have a richer social capital, personal income and social capital and no significant linear relationship. Effect of age on social capital comes from individual factors.
