Theoretical Research Of Multimedia Knowledge-Dollar Base For Elementary And Middle Schools

As an important component part of school Intranet in elementary and middle schools, education resources is an efficacious way to promote education informatization. Teaching content is the main body of education resources for schools, multimedia is the carrier of the education resources for schools, and qualities education is the guiding ideology of the education resources for schools which include a lot of teaching information, such as teaching courseware, media-material, teaching data, examination question bank.It is a very large and complicated project to build a MKDB(multimedia knowledge-dollar base), which involves a lot of theoretical and technical problems and requires a lot of designers, teachers, experts. After investigating the past education resources, we find that there are imperfect places, such as the way of index and conjunction, the integration of courses. Therefore, the thesis brings up building MKDB in education resources to solve these problems.The thesis firstly discusses the resources' important role in realizing education informatization. It also shows us the necessity of building multimedia knowledge-dollar base by studying the past and the future about the development of education resources. In the addition, the concepts of knowledge-dollar and knowledge-dollar base, theoretical foundation of building MKDB are introduced.Secondly, according to the definition of knowledge-dollar, the thesis lists knowledge-dollars of biology for middle schools, explores the metadata structure of knowledge-dollar, and analyzes the designing contents and aims of multimedia of knowledge-dollar base.Thirdly, on the basis of the developing principle of multimediaknowledge -dollar base, the thesis also analyzes the structure and gives a framework model with a three-layer system which contains management layer, inquiry layer and application layer from bottom to top.In the development of MKDB, the platform of database is the key technology. Eventually, on the basis of carefully comparing the distance database access technology such as CGI, API, ASP, JDBC and TRS, the thesis proposes a scheme to build the platform of MKDB utilizing TRS for RDBMS Gateway. On account of the necessity for building the large library to achieve successful management and index for data, we can make efficient, reliable issues of massive structuralized and unstructuralized data stored in RDBMS by the means of TRS.
