The Study On Structure Design Of A Material Library Of Education Resources

As an important component part of the modern distance education project, the material library of education resources is organized and built in the form of national fundamental facility. The content of this library, organized according to subject, specialty and profession, can be classified by function into mini梒ourseware material, example material, examination material and media material.It is a very large and complicated project to build a material library of education resources, which would involve a lot of theoretical and technical problems. Mainly, this thesis makes some preliminary study and discussion on the structure design of the material library.The paper firstly discusses the library抯 important role in the modern distance education and its relationship with the education networkresources. It also shows us the necessity of building the library bypstudying the past and the future about the development of the networkcourseware, and something concerning how to make up the content of the material library.Secondly, analyzing the structure of the material library of education resources, the thesis gives to the material library an idea of building a framework model with a three條ayer system which contains management layer, inquiry layer and application layer from bottom to top. Among the three layers, the thesis does some further analysis especially to the library structure of the management layer.IIEventually, on the basis of carefully studying on the distance database access technology such as CGI, API, IDC, ASP, JDBC and TRS, the thesis designs the scheme of which to build the platform of the network material library utilizing TRS for RDBMS Gateway. On account of the necessity for building the large library to achieve successful management, inquiry and application about data, by the means of integrating TRS information management system and RDBMS, we can make efficient, safe, reliable issues and value梚ncreased utilizations of massive structuralized and unstructuralized data being stored in RDBMS.
