Study On Clan Culture In LongDong Rural Areas

As the significant characteristic of the rustic society in china tradition, clan and its culture have had their internal mechanism and spiritual value deeply rooted in the society. Though it has experienced several institutional change and transformation, the clan culture begins to revive in the rural society and gives the great impact on the peasants' things and behavior.From the perspective of culture sociology and by using of sociological and ethnological theories and methods, the thesis, which is at the background of its revival during the period of transition, makes the field work in LongDong rural areas. Through the study of genealogy, ancestral temple, family rituals etc there, it gives the explanation of the realities the clan culture establishes and analyzes its position and functions in the social structure of Chinese rural area.The conclusion of the study is to help peasants decrease the negative effect and carry forward the positive influence the participation of clan culture bring about, to offer the spiritual support for social order and stability and the advancement of the society, and especially to provide the beneficial thinking and culture backgrounds for culture construction in the process of well-off society constructing.
