A great number of distinguished Middle school Chinese teachers have come into teaching career since the New Educational Phrase. Their teaching practice is colorful and vivid and their researches are measured and orderly. The ideas and methods of teaching summarized by them enrich the Chinese-teaching theory, which promotes the development of Chinese teaching cause. They are characterized by striking features: excellent quality, creative teaching methods, original teaching ideas, outstanding achievements, wide influence. Their reputation is based on diversified causes. In general, there are two main reasons: one is subjective and the other is objective. The subjective reasons are as follows: their pursuit of brilliant goals and enthusiasm for teaching career; their perfection of their own qualities and shaping of their personalities; mastery of profound knowledge and cultivation of remarkable ability; seeking educational arts so as to develop a unique teaching style; On the other hand, there are also objective reasons as follows, e.g, a good enlightenment in a family and excellent education in school; the urgent social requirements and the eager calling of modern times; the leaders' deep consideration and overall co-operation of the same profession; scholars' positive evaluation and devoting recommendation by experts. The twenty-first century is full of fierce competition and our country is in bad need of talented personnel, who must receive good education provided by brilliant teachers. Therefore, to train good Chinese teachers is a historical mission inour time. I take the following items into great consideration in order to cultivate distinguished teachers: Eulogize the tradition of respecting teachers, so ad to improve teachers' social status; emphasize teacher-training and strengthen teachers' qualifications for teaching; establish rewarding system, especially award those teaching and research elite; advocate experience of good teachers to influence more Finally, here send my best wishes for large numbers of talented teachers coming to the fore.
