The current basic educational curriculum reform in China is a highly originative transformation by which we want to modernize our educational system and perfect our curriculum design. Obviously, it will give a profound and far-reaching historic significance. But, like any reform in other fields, we should be cautious, cool-minded, practical and steady to the reform and not go to extremes with risking so many sacrifices. On the foundation of the domestic situation and with the reference to the abroad, the thesis analyzes the ideas which the curriculum reform sticks to, the reformative items which the curriculum reform concerns, and the steps which the curriculum reform takes. Through these analyses, the author comprehensively and dialectically expounds and verifies the reliability of the basic curriculum reform. Meanwhile, the author wants to appeal for the people, including the administrators, the teachers, the principals and the researchers, not to deal with the basic curriculum reform one-sidedly and overcorrectly.This thesis consists of five parts:The first is the introduction. It concisely explains why the author chooses this task to study and tells us the structure, significance, and the writing style of this thesis.The second part are some considerations about the ideas which back up the curriculum reform. From three angles, the author analyzes when and where does the curriculum reform take place, and which measure of value does the curriculum reform holds.The third part are some considerations about the curriculum reform 's contents. It analyzes the requirements which the curriculum reform demands in the curriculum fields of structure, implementation, evaluation, and management.The fourth part are some considerations about the curriculumreform 's enforcement and implementation. It analyzes the prerequisites, conditions, coincident steps and the continuity which the want-to-be-successful curriculum reform needs.In a conclusive way, the last part lays out the most critical problems that the author thinks to have to be solved in this curriculum reform.
