Aerobics is a newly-added part in school physical education and also a compulsory subject for college P. E. majors. It is of profound significance to explore an affective learning method for the P. E. majors, which can benefit all-round development of the students' and improve the abilities of students. Based on the cognitive theory and the constituent theory, the writer of this paper establishes a new 4-phase innovation learning method in teaching aerobics for college P. E. majors, and makes a comparison with the traditional one in the general course. This research employs experiments, documents, questionnaire, specialist interview, observation, and mathematical statistics, with the college P. E. majors as the object. The result of the research shows that this 4-phase innovation learning method has a positive influence and effect on the development of the students' comprehensive abilities, including creativity, self-study, teaching, social adapting and training abilities. This research suggests us that in college P. E. aerobics teaching, it is essential to stress the reform on students' learning methods, and more emphasis should be put on the innovation of learning methods and the improvement of students' abilities. It also suggests that it is necessary to set up a new aerobics teaching method in order to promote the teaching reform of college P. E. and also enrich and perfect the P. E. teaching theory.
