The traditional theories of mutual communication are concerned the relationship of mutual communication face to face. That is, the pattern of mutual communication investigation before Information Age seldom involved the mutual communication that couldn't be face to face. It's also the question that mutual communication used the Internet as a medium in the information society. Recently, as the development of the information society, the influence to people's communication patterns of the Internet attracts more attention. We can say that the forming and development of the Internet society means the great changes in manufacture and living fields of human being society. The change of the society structure and society experience caused by the new society space, the Internet, first showed on a special new group--- people on line. In this group, college students who have the advantage in information, knowledge, and equipment take an important place.After questionnaire investigation and talking with individuals in two colleges in Jilin City, the author found out the situation of the mutual communication by Internet of the young college students. Before the widespread of the Internet, traditional communication mainly includes talking face to face, writing, take part in parties etc. As the development of the Internet, visiting the Internet is part of essential life to college students. By the communication on line, the college students have a new kind of mutual communication. They have mutual communication in the following three ways: (1) make friends by chatting in the chat room. (2) the activities on BBS. (3) E-mail. The Internet changed into a contact method from a communication one and it influenced the young college students a lot. The influence includes beneficial aspects and detrimental aspects. In this passage, it mainly talks about the detrimental aspects, for example: difficult to form a stable and profound relationship; the great variation compared with the reality may lead to confusion of self-realization; weaken the responsibility, virtue and reliability of mutual communication; easy to keep a distance from the communication in real life. By description and analysis of these detrimental aspects, the passage pointed out some problems existed in communication of the college students on line, and try to give some effective suggestions on how to instruct the association patterns of the college students to healthier and more effective ones in the course of information construction. When the society is getting into the information society and facing the information tide, the young college students who are leading the tide should ponder the global information with the specialized mission realization and responsibility. Therefore, they need to cope well with the association relationship between on line and in real life, have a mind of keeping safety, improve the realization of protect themselves, strengthen the virtue and obey the rules of visiting the Internet. Besides, the relevant sections in society should purify the Internet environment, make it a platform for college student to construct a good mutual communication. As social educators, they should pay attention to the human relationships of the college students in real life, give them the right instruction and let the information technique serve the real life better.
