Ancient novel is not only am important component in language books of middle school but also an important part in daily language teaching. The new teaching criteria set a higher standard for ancient novel teaching. Ancient novel is abundant in contents and shows different meaning under different view of points. Analysis and guidance in student's reading from three aspects of "scenario, people, typical environment" is adopted by classical ancient novel teaching, In addition, the new achievements in ancient novel studying provide us the possibility for the understanding of ancient novel from multiple dimensions.During the process of ancient novel teaching, we fully noticed a characteristic of ancient novel that is its content is extremely abundant. We try to understand the articles from different corners, and to run our teaching activity in multiple dimensions, so that we can better understand the articles and reach our goal in ancient novel teaching.This thesis mainly consists three parts: the first part simply explains the process of generation and changes of ancient novel and its relationship with language teaching in middle school. The second part describes "three-element teaching method" of classical ancient novel, and makes a positive judgment regarding this method. The third part raises four lands of new teaching opinions based on second part and made fully discussion them.
