Intensity of maximal lactate steady state (MLSS) was considered the best one to improve endurance, but the direct testing was complex and invasive. The aim of this research was to make the uninvasive method of heart rate threshold (HRT) popularized basing on the test of achievement of MLSS through HRT. In this research, 24 male students (12 untrained, 12trained) performed incremental treadmill tests for determination of heart rate threshold (HRT) and 25 min constant velocity for MLSS measurements. This study indicated that: (1) Heart rate threshold could be achieved efficiently by the means of plot in EXCEL and artificial estimate.(2) Trained subjects had lower HRT but higher velocity. Velocity on HRT could evaluate endurance and be proper intensity of endurance training.(3) Velocity in HRT could achieve MLSS efficiently and be more efficient to trained subjects. (4) This research method probably led to high estimate of HRT. (5) Heart rate and RPE was sensitive and efficient guideline for MLSS training. (6) Lactate and RPE values in MLSS of untrained subjects were higher significantly than trained ones.
