Training, fatigue, recovery are four main parts in the recycling process of competitive sports. Either higher or lower training volume has a bad effect on enhancing athletes’ skills. In sports, coaches and athletes pay a lot of attention to maximize training efficiency via distributing physical energy reasonably and avoid adverse training results caused by excessive fatigue. In studies of Exercise fatigue, there are a variety of Exercise-fatigue measurement scales and instruments. However, unexpected monitoring results might be coming out due to cultural differences, effectiveness and convenience, as well as factors led by the scales and instruments. Therefore, how to scientifically and practicallyutilize those assessment tools to evaluate fatigue is a pressing problem. This research analyzed the theory of Exercise fatigue and methods of exercise fatigue detection. Meanwhile to monitor exercise process by several highly-recognized measurement methods and multiple indicators that are being used regularly in sports teams. Participants were 20 male athletes of one Sport University who were trained by biking till they were totally exhausted in a three-day Exhaustive –training program. Those athletes accepted objective and subjective tests before training, first day in training and also third day respectively. Through Repeated-measurement-analysis and Correlation-analysis, as well as, Discriminate-analysis of Exercise fatigue, we were attempting to build a compound Exercise fatigue assessment method which includes both objective indicators and subjective indicators. Based on Ratings of Perceived Exertion and Heart Rate Variability, this method aims at evaluating and monitoring Exercise fatigue in a fast, economic and real-time way. Results showed that:(1)After an Exercise fatigue, participants’ feeling of accomplished, energetic, confident and alertness’ s level declined. At the same time, body’s fatigue and the feeling of fatigue enhanced. After multiple Exercise fatigues, participants’ feeling of accomplished, energetic, confident and alertness’ s level declined. At the same time, body’s fatigue, the feeling of fatigue and the negative assessment of the exercise enhanced.(2)After an Exercise fatigue, NNMean, SDNN, PNN50 of HRV decreased, as well as Blood Urea Nitrogen. After multiple Exercise fatigues, NNMean,SDNN,PNN50 of HRV decreased.(3) After an Exercise fatigue, participants’ Hemoglobin,Blood Urea Nitrogen, Testosterone and Testosterone /Cortisol decreased. Cortisol increased. Although testosterone value decreases, but the T/C ratio is lower than 30% shows that athletes get tired.(4)In the assessmentof multiple Exercise fatigue,Ratings of Perceived Exertion has a significant correlation with Athlete Burnout Questionnaire,Fatigue Scale-14 and Visual Analogue Scale.(5)In the assessment of Exercise fatigue, Ratings of Perceived Exertion has a significant correlation with HRV and blood biochemical indicators.(6)In the assessment of Exercise fatigue, HRV has a significant correlation with blood biochemical indicators.(7)Building Fisher discriminant function by combining RPE with NNMean, SDNN, RMSSD, PNN50, aimed at making assessment of Exercise fatigue in a fast, economic and real-time way.
