To construct a team of teachers with high quality can ensure the broadening of general education. The reflection of teachers' own teaching activity is an important approach of improving their quality. This research first defines the concept of the reflection of teaching, then tries to discover the model and approaches of it and in the end discusses the question of teachers' reflective ability as well as its cultivation.In this thesis, the reflection of teaching is defined as "the process during which teachers fight the way out of their teaching dilemma." This process is constituted with four phrases; they are the recognition of the teaching dilemma and its analysis, the construction of the teaching hypothesis and its test. The reflection of teaching can be realized through such ways as the description after teaching, teaching observation, microteaching and action researching.The reflection of teaching demands teachers for the ability of reflection. Here such ability is regarded as the necessary condition under which teachers can reflect and it is composed of the dynamic factor, the knowledge factor, the skill factor and the administrative factor. The ability of teachers' reflection is mainly cultivated in the continuing education to teachers. The continuing education to teachers aims at the cultivation of such reflection ability, so it demands renewal of the prerequisite of the continuative education and the revolution of its content, process and form.
