A prevailing problem exists in college-level administrations: With an eager demand for creative, independently-thinking teachers on one hand, but certain guidelines and disciplines on teachers are to be required on the other hand. This fits a saying given by an American behaviorist Chris Argelis: "a contradiction between the standard organization and its nature individuals." In order to achieve the most efficiency in the management of the teaching personnel in college, due respect should be paid to teachers "individualities" .More space should be given to teachers' "freedom" .Such freedom is a unity of self-willingness and self-consciousness. It's "an agreement" between the management and the employed in college. In this paper, contract is played down as a general relationship. To the author's mind, there are two models of contractual management. One is contractual management, the other is psychological contract. This paper focuses on both. Contractual management is a combination of rights and obligations. It's a revelation of transformation from the traditional mode to legal orientation. Contractual management mode should be further broadened in orderto obtain the highest efficiency. That's why psychological contract comes into being-asubjective agreement between the college management and its teaching personnel concerning their mutual obligations and some concepts. Psychological contract embodies the intrinsic convictions and expectation. It's a more humanized management.
