With the intensification of all-round education reform and comprehensive implement of new courses,the talent that society needs has changed into the type of ability from the type of knowledge .The change gives higher request for education espescially the fundemental education,so the teachers in middle schools face severe challenges.The problems formed in our teaching for a long time,such as the lack of creative spirit and active consciousness,poor knowledge application and experience ability ,single and passive method of study and negative feeling has been out of date and can't go with the development of the times. Now we must meet and study an important subject,that is, how we can use new teaching theories and reform traditional teaching methods to fulfil the "three-demsional teaching aim"and construct a new teaching model which focuses on the developing of the students ,the exploitation of students' hidden abilities and the formation of students' perfect individuality.According to the requests provided by new course standard and all-round education theory,Physics teaching should change a tendency in which teachers' guiding was over emphasised while students' self- study abilly was neglected .Instead ,amlpe activities should be provided to students so that they can experience the process of the exploitation in science ,understand and know the precise research methods ,cultivate their ability in exploitation and creation.They also can experience success ,improve their ability in practice and problem solving, know the great impact physics has made on technology, economy and social devclpoment and form a long-lasting positive emotion ,scientific attitude and value through physics learning .In order to make the aims carried out in the class, I design the "self-inquiry and guided-solution" teaching methods which are based on many years teaching experience and new teaching theories.This paper makes a systemetic study on "self-inquiry and guided-solution" in high school physics teaching by the means of document analysis Reaching experiment questionnaire investigation and interview.This paper includes 3 parts.The first part makes a detailed exposition on "self-inquiry andguided-solution" teaching methods in the aspects of historical origins ,connotation theoretical basis,operation programme ^evaluation system and implementation conditions etc. In accordance with the characteristics and requests of theoretical,exercises,revision,experimental lessons, the second pail illustrates how to carry out "self-inquiry and guided-solution" teaching methods respectively using various cases as living examples.In part three ,based on the result of the application and operation of "self-inquiry and guided-solution" teaching methods in teaching, investigation and statistical analysis is made and reliable conclusion is drawn ,that is ,by using "self-inquiry and guided-solution " teaching methods ,students can arouse their enthusiasm and initiation ,improre themselves in the ability of finding ,analyzing and solving problems and effectively develop their all-round abilities and the spirit of creating.In this paper,the study on "self-inquiry and guided-solution" teaching methods has certain reference values for how to put new teaching theories into practice .improve traditional teaching methods effectively improve teaching effects oil class and educational quality.
