The newly debuted National Mathematics Syllabus Standard has been promulgated in April 2003, in which quite. A lot of new Mathematical Culture is one of them, which will be carried out in practical teaching activities. Then, What's the present situation of Mathematical Cultural Awareness of teachers? Can their existing Mathematical cultural Awareness meet the demand of education reform? These questions will be discussed on the basis of our researches and a series of relevant countermeasure will be proposed in this thesis, too.The thesis consists of four chapters in chapter 1, We introduce briefly the National Mathematics Syllabus, and illustrate the Mathematical Culture and analyses the relationships among Mathematical Culture, Quality-oriented Education and Mass Mathematics in Chapter 2, an explanation to Mathematic Culture has been given, and the definition of Mathematic Culture in High Schools has been presented by the combination of different in different schools, the demands of National Mathematics Syllabus Standard and the characteristics of senior high school students, the relationship between Mathematical Culture in high school and mathematic teaching in middle school Mathematical Cultural Awareness conception of mathematic teachers in high schools will be given in Chapter 3. And relevant countermeasures and strategies have been discussed in Chapter4. The results of our research are the following:The Mathematic Cultural Awareness of mathematic teachers should beenhanced urgently;The education and practical teaching of Mathematic Cultural Awarenessshould be explored further;The Mathematic Cultural Awareness should be popularized greatly amongmathematic teachers in senior high schools.
